This colorful illustrated children's biography of Walt Disney is the perfect introduction to the creative force behind Mickey Mouse and such animated classics as Snow White, Pinnochio, Fantasia, Dumbo, and many others. Hundreds of historic photographs and images from Walt's early Mickey Mouse shorts accompany a lively retelling of his journey from a small town in Missouri to the movie studios of Hollywood. Like its adult trade counterpart INSIDE THE DREAM, DISCOVERING WALT was published in 2001 to coincide with the original air date of the ABC-television documentary "Walt: The Man Behind the Myth" and as part of the Walt Disney Company's celebration of the 100th anniversary of Walt's birth.
